Susan is a graduate of Harvard Law School and completed her undergraduate degree at University of California at Los Angeles, where she graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. After law school, she clerked for a Federal District Court Judge and worked for a Wall Street law firm, where she began her career in commercial real estate, representing a national mortgage REIT and playing a key role in the negotiation of the extension of the ground lease under Rockefeller Center.
Susan then continued her focus on commercial real estate, starting the in-house legal department at a well-regarded Boston-based regional real estate developer as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, where she was responsible for real estate acquisitions, sales, financings, leasing and the development of shopping centers, office and R&D buildings, and residential land subdivisions and condominiums.
Most recently, Susan was Special Counsel at Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo P.C., a national law firm in its Boston office, representing a large retail chain in ground leasing, financing and sale/leaseback transactions. Susan tired of the snow and gloom in New England and relocated to Arizona several years ago, where she is enthusiastic about the blue skies and sunny days.
